Governor Laura Kelly traveled to Newton on Monday to announce that the state of Kansas is distributing 16 million dollars in grant funding to rural healthcare providers. These funds, provided through the Kansas Rural Health Transformation Program’s Emerging Technology Grant initiative, are specifically earmarked for facilities that are integrating new technologies into their daily operations to enhance patient care.
During her visit to Prairie View, Governor Kelly pointed to the facility as a prime example of how small town providers can leverage innovation to bridge gaps in medical services. She noted that Prairie View is not only a recipient of the grants but serves as a model for other rural centers showing exactly what happens when a provider embraces modern tools to better support the community members who rely on them most.
